Practicum Hours (Feb 23rd)

Again today I helped Kirsten work on her online media midterm which was working on a web page which was on putting all of her stories from the semester so far into one website. I knew how to do this as in NMP we had a producer week where we would gather all the stories from the week and put them onto one website for publishing.

Last thursday Kirsten and I were in the studio log and capturing the mens basketball v. Saint Leo. We also editing everything we had. This took a while but it was useful for me to be there with Kirsten because she was doing this package for NMP and I took the same class last semester so I knew what it was that Bradford was looking for in her package.

I helped Tony out with shooting the women's tennis match vs. Lynn as I wasn't playing on this particular day. The rain kept coming and going making filming difficult and inconsistent but we managed to get a lot of footage. There were a few things Tony was un certain of when it came to setting up the camera but because of my knowledge from News Media Projects I managed to help him out and make sure everything ran smoothly.

Total: 4 hours.

Practicum Hours

2 hours were spent working on the Southern News, I worked the prompter and had some time on camera one. I enjoy working on the SSN because every week we all switch around and get experience in all areas of the broadcast studio.

Hours Feb 7th

There were some technical problems with the right computer in the studio, it kept claiming that there were files dropped while we were capturing. We then went ahead and swapped everything over to the other computer it then said that there was no information to capture. This took an hour to work out and get sorted
